The Fall Church Picnic, a Valmeyer highlight, celebrates 25 years of Valmeyer working together for our combined Fall Church Picnic of St. Mary and St. John.

Our spectacular church picnic features delicious food, a silent auction, a country store, a bake sale, raffles, games for younger and older children, bingo, and live music.

Come early and eat well! Our picnic kicks off at 11:00. Choose from a fried chicken dinner with sides, hamburgers or hotdogs. Enjoy the live music while you eat under the tent. Have a refreshing beverage of beer, soda or water. Finish with a slice of cake or Ted Drewes’ custard. Take home a home-made cake, pie, or other dessert from our bake sale.

Visit our country store for home-made sausage, embroidered gifts, home-made crafts, plants, and flower bulbs, and much more!

Stop at the raffle booth and take a chance to win our lottery, a grocery cart of food, attendance prizes, and 50/50 cash prizes.

Visit St. Mary’s parish hall and bid on dozens of exciting items in the Silent Auction. Final bidding for: Group A items at 1:00

Group C items at 4:00

Today is the first Children’s Mass of the new school year.

Buy your ticket for our Bewitching Boo-z Bingo with quilt and cash prizes. Tickets cost $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Your ticket includes 10 games at 3 cards per game. Tickets can be purchased at Mike’s Convenience.

Doors open at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, and games start at 7 p.m. There is a cash bar with Witches’ Drink Specials. Bring your own snacks. There are prizes for Best Witch Costume and Best Witch Cackle.

Altar Sodality

The Altar Sodality buys flowers, decorations, altar cloths, and other linens for our church, pays for cleaning, and purchases equipment for the church and parish center. Please support them in their fundraisers and events.
